Andy Cohen claims fans aren’t going to believe that this Wednesday’s episode of Vanderpump Rules wasn’t re-edited following the news of Tom Sandoval‘s alleged affair with Raquel Leviss.
On the latest episode of his SiriusXM Radio show, the Watch What Happens Live host said viewers will be taken aback by a conversation that occurs between Raquel, Lala Kent, and Katie Maloney as he insisted that producers of the series did not manipulated the footage post-“Scandoval.”
“There is something I wanted to say about Vanderpump Rules. Guys, you’re going to watch Wednesday’s episode. You are going to think that it was recut. Okay? It was not recut,” Andy confirmed on the March 18 episode of Andy Cohen Live. “This was the episode.”
According to Andy, who is not involved in the production of Pump Rules, he received the episode weeks ago and recently checked it out while battling an illness.
“I watched it on my sick bed, Wednesday’s — this episode that’s gonna air in two days — I watched it and I was like, ‘People are going to think we did this, or we moved stuff up,’” he explained. “The conversations that go on between Katie and Lala and Raquel are not to be believed in the light of what has come out.”
Earlier this month, just weeks after Sandoval and Ariana revealed the secrets to their near-10-year relationship as they gushed over what one another brought to the table, the Bravo universe was rocked by the news of his reported six-month affair with their friend and co-star. And, while cameras immediately picked back up to catch the fallout, Andy promised the upcoming episode “was not touched.”
“This is how it was going to be shown … which makes it all the more shocking. You won’t believe it,” he teased.
Following the news of their apparent affair, both Sandoval and Raquel released statements of apology.
“I want to apologize to Ariana. I made mistakes, I was selfish, and made reckless decisions that hurt somebody I love. No one deserves to feel that pain so traumatically and publicly,” Sandoval wrote in a message shared on Instagram. “I can only imagine how devastating this has been for Ariana and everyone around us. I feel really horrible about that. My biggest regret is that I dishonored Ariana. I never meant to disappoint so many people, including our loving families and friends … I owed Ariana better.”
Meanwhile, in her own statement, Raquel said she “must own [her] actions” and said she “deeply [regrets] hurting Ariana.”
“I am reflecting on my choices, speaking to a counselor and I am learning things about myself such as my patterns of codependency and addiction to being and feeling loved,” she continued. “I have sought emotional validation through intimate connections that are not healthy without regard for my own well-being, sometimes negatively affecting others and often prioritizing the intimate connection over my friendships. I am taking steps to understand my behavior and make healthier choices.”
Andy Cohen Live airs Mondays through Fridays at 10 a.m. ET on SiriusXM’s Radio Andy.
